Longarm Rental Certification
Do you have quilt tops that you'd love to finally finish, but are too large for you to quilt on your home sewing machine? If this sounds familiar, you need to take this class and become an "SMT Certified Long Machine Operator." In this class, Nancy will cover loading your quilt back, batting, and top onto the machine frame as well as all of the operating functions of our Handiquilter Quilting machine.
Take this beginning longarm class to learn how to load a quilt and use the machine (Free Motion only) so you can rent our Handiquilter machines!
Once you have taken the Certification Longarm Class, you will be certified to operate the Handiquilter and Janome longarms along with the Capri Sitdown Machine. There is a $50.00 minimum charge for the first 2 hours to rent the machine. Each additional hour is $25.00 per hour. There is a $5.00 thread fee per day.
This class is required if you would like to rent our HQ longarm machine. If you have taken this certification over 6 months ago, or rented the machine more than 6 months ago you must retake this class to maintain your certification.
Please feel free to bring a sack lunch or snack. We have water, coffee, tea.
